Commercial radio station 103.5 FM The Fox broadcasted a great interview with Ana Popovic in support of her shows in Grand County on June 26th and 27th during the Blues From The Top Festival in Winterpark, CO. Dimensions Weekly Magazine ran a feature on Ana Popovic in January. The article delved into Ana’s background, guitar technique, as well as her latest album Blind For Love, and even hinted slightly as to what to expect from her in the future. Dimensions Weekly is a men’s lifestyle magazine that has about 500,000 monthly readers.
BlueWax spoke with Ana Popovic on a tour stop in Italy late last year for a feature that ran in the December online magazine. Just days shy of her own birthday, Ana Popovic gave birth to her first child, an 8 lb baby boy named Luuk, or Luka in her native Serbian!! Both mother and baby are doing great. Rumor has it he came out equipped with a guitar pick, strapped on Ana’s guitar and began strumming some Bukka White licks. I guess the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree! Ok, so maybe it’ll be a while before baby Luc starts making music with his mama but that won’t stop him from going on his very first US tour with her this summer! Ana’s guitar case will double as a diaper bag as she makes her way across the United States, rocking the socks off of audiences in every town she stops in. Ana, we’re thrilled to have you back on US soil and can’t wait to meet the newest member to the Eclecto Groove family! Congratulations Ana, Mark and Luuk! We love you! |

What do Eclecto Groove Records recording artist, Ana Popovic, Def Jam recording artist, Rihanna and Bad Boy Records founder, Sean “Puffy” Combs all have in common? If you guessed their involvement with multi-platinum producer, Rudy “Mayru” Maya, you’ve been keeping up to date on your industry news! Maya has already begun remix work on two tracks from Popovic’s album, “Still Making History” and Ana will be flying into Los Angeles in early February for some one on one studio time with the esteemed producer.
Eclecto Groove Records and Ana Popovic continue to trudge forth towards the plans of breaking Ana in a commercial pop market. The powers that be at Eclecto Groove Records have teamed up with multi-platinum producer/composer Rudy “Mayru” Maya to record and release a remix of the “Still Making History” album. The project will include remixes of 8 tracks from the original “Still Making History” record as well as two additional original tracks.
