ZITO IN A TIME-WARP - BACK TO THE '80s
Mike Zito has been hard at work while on the road, reliving the 80s and working on a score for the film, Spring Break 83. Working on a portable recording studio, Zito has been busy sampling the styles from the music of the 80s to create a nostalgic sound for the film. In addition to many iconic songs of the 80s, Zito’s score will be a highlight of the film, taking viewers back to a time when music was glamorous and flashy. So get out your acid washed jeans and parachutepants, because it’s time to “moonwalk” your way back to “cabbage patching” to the rad decade!

SILVER SCREEN UPDATE
Big Sky Motion Pictures is gearing up to dive right back into the filming of their current project, Spring Break 83. With the majority of shooting complete after many weeks of hard work in Louisiana, battling weather and unforeseen circumstances, the staff at Big Sky Motion Pictures has recharged their batteries and are putting all the pieces in place to get this movie IN THE CAN!!! Pick up shots will be completed in the very near future, utilizing seaside locations in the surrounding Los Angeles areas. The movie will have spectacular publicity as, in the spirit of American Idol, nine hours of the reality show, Casting Call, were shot to showcase the search for the next great comedic movie star. The winners of the competition will have roles in the film, Spring Break 83. So for a number of weeks, America will get to be witnesses as aspiring actors and comedians vie for a chance to get their breakout role in this coming of age teen comedy. Delta Groove Music and Eclecto Groove Records are very excited to see the completion of Spring Break 83 as Eclecto Groove artists Ana Popovic and Mike Zito had a special part in the filming of this project. Acting as the house band for the bar scenes, Ana and Zito will also have their music featured in the soundtrack for the film.
You still have another month to preview Ana Popovic’sEclecto Groove debut “Still Making History” which is currently featured on listening stations at Borders locations nationwide. Ana’s CD entered the Border’s GLS program last September before her rapid climb up the Billboard Blues Charts. Due to the successful sales of her CD, Borders has extended the program until March, allowing for Ana’s music to gain even greater exposure and reach out to new fans.

Ana Popovic arrived in Los Angeles from Amsterdam on February 4th just as Rand Chortkoff, Kelly Davis, Frank Roszak and I were returning from the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis. In spite of the long flight, Ana was as radiant as ever and couldn’t wait to start work on the “Still Making History” remix with Rudy Maya. The album will contain 8 remixed versions of the album’s songs and two brand new originals. Let me tell you, they are all entirely new tracks and definitely different. The remix project is designed to take Ana to a new level and a new audience and something we have been planning on doing since the album was first released. Everyone who has heard the remix and the original recordings express amazement and excitement over the impending release. Personally, I loved the old album and it just keeps on being one of our top selling albums both here in America, throughout Europe, Down Under and throughout the Far East and Asia.
